[EDIT] I put into consideration the links at the bottom of the page and the 'Ocarina Shop' links. I also added another optional suggestion.
I've taken the time to look through this site and I believe there are a good handful of things that could be done to adjust and improve the experience of all the users and visitors here. I've compiled a small list of improvements and I would greatly appreciate it if any mods or admins can look over them.
Ocarina Tab List:
The list appears very jumbled and messy with no way to sort the various tabs. Separate drop down menu that features q 'Sort by Ocarina', 'Difficulty', and 'Score' option would be amazing. These options are already available, but it would be a great improvement to allow more than one sorting option to be used at a time [i.e. Sort by Ocarina and Difficulty, Sort by Difficulty and Score, etc.]
Source/Source Type:
These little tabs alongside the webpage would be better placed into the 'Ocarina Tab List' at the very top of the page and possibly organized into a group/sub-group drop down-style menu. The link titles in the 'Source Type' should be the MAIN GROUP, whilst the link titles of the 'Source' be placed in the 'Source Type' main group as SUB-GROUPS [more sub-groups may have to be made to accommodate for the already existing ocarina tabs in the 'Source Type' section].
Ocarina Shop Side Tab:
The side tab featuring the picture of the 'Ocarina Shop' should be kept on the side while the link at the top of the page be omitted. This tab should feature all the links to ocarina shops (as well as this site's) like the link at the top of the page.
Ocarina types:
This side tab should also be omitted [look at 'Source/Source Type' above]
BOTTOM PAGE LINKS
Ocarina history:
This link should be featured at the top with the main links. The links 'Ocarina', 'Octaves', 'Choose an ocarina', and 'Playing the ocarina' should be placed as direct links to their respective pages on the 'Ocarina history' page.
*Optional Bulletin Board:
Replacing the side tabs should be a bulletin board that is up to date with shop sales, local gathering events, user rankings, ocarina news, etc. The tab could stretch downwards and be fairly long.
*Optional Format/Appearance Change:
The site's appearance looks outdated. Updating the look to something more visually pleasing will raise appeal and attract more people onto the site.
*Optional Profile Update & User Rankings:
The option to follow other users and comment on their profiles would also raise appeal and allow for more interaction between the community. Another great option would be adding 'User Rankings'. These would be available to all members of the site and occur monthly. For each month, the winner of the last ranking will be posted near the top of the homepage and shown on the bulletin board.
*Optional Monthly Newsletter
An email is sent to all users monthly and keeps the community informed of changes in the site, new songs, and upcoming events.

Hi VicariousEnmity,
First I want to thank you for these brillant ideas. We thought about many of them but it is good to have the point of view of someone else and a list of what has to be done.
Every year the website knows big improvements so we'll try to add all these in the new version.
*Optional Bulletin Board:
We can do that, but we'll have to find a way to get news regularly or to allow users to publish news/events ...

Understood! It's best to get the ideas of many rather than the few. For the bulletin board, I believe that all the users should be notified by email about the new improvement(s) and ways they can get involved. To me, this seems to be the best way as of late.
